Sometimes It Rains is a podcast series created by Mat Hostetler that examines the intersection between sports and social justice, told one story, one season at a time.

We aim to educate and inform our audience, spark debate, and improve the lives of those who fall victim to injustice.

Sometimes it Rains would like to acknowledge that Season II was written and recorded on the traditional land and ancestral home of Native Americans, Indigenous and First Nations people. In Brooklyn, New York, this includes the Canarsee, and Munsee Lenape tribal groups, and in Kansas City, more than 98 tribal groups, including the Kickapoo, Kaw and Kansa, Osage, Oceti Sakowin, Otoe-Missouri, Potawatomi, Sioux, Shawnee and Wyandotte. We honor their elders, both past and present, and acknowledge the vital importance of educating ourselves about the histories of these people.
